Description:
Cover Glass ,Cover Slip is a thin, flat piece of glass or plastic that is used to cover specimens on a microscope slide. It helps to protect the sample, reduce distortion, and keep the specimen in place. Cover slips also help to create an even thickness of the sample, allowing for clearer and more accurate observation under a microscope.
The cover glasses feature an excellent flatness and smooth surfaces thanks to the best material. No Cover Slip made of soda lime glass match the quality of our borosilicate glass cover glasses. Even when archived for years preparations keep their optical quality thanks to our noncorroding glass and the particularly low tolerance of the material thickness. Our precise machining processes make sure that our coverslips have the exact size and their edges are cut with high precision. All of our efficient processes include a stringent, integrated quality control and thus ensure high quality coverslips which do not stick together.Ā
Our cover glasses are ready for use and well suited for application in automated cove slippers. All these characteristics result in significant advantages for the user.
- made of chemically resistant borosilicate glass D 263Ā®Ā M of the firstĀ hydrolytic class
- absolutely colorless, perfectly clear, suitable for fluorescence microscopy
- for applications according to EU regulation 2017/746 on in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR), with CE-mark and batch number for comprehensive information and traceability
To use a cover Glass:
- Place a drop of the specimen (like a biological sample) on the microscope slide.
- Gently lower the cover slip at an angle to avoid trapping air bubbles, which could interfere with the view.
- Once in place, the cover slip helps hold the specimen flat and protected.
